BAND OF JOY Band Of Joy (1978 UK 9-track vinyl LP - The band were formed in the 1960s with the original line-up featuring Robert Plant and John Bonham, yet while that line-up relied on its live reputation to become a legend, a revised Band Of Joy finally made it to the studio in the late 1970s, having re-grouped to play benefit gigs with their old singer for the families of a local band involved in a fatal motorway crash. The gigs didn't happen as planned, but this album on Polydor was followed by a barely-released second, both of which stand as undiscovered gems.
