JOHN LEE HOOKER I'm John Lee Hooker (Amazing 1964 US issue of the 1959 12-track mono compilation LP, the debut by JLH, pulling together his earlier Vee-Jay single releases onto one album. It is impossible to say for sure which label variationthis copy has as by some miracle it has remained FACTORY SEALED for the last fifty years & remains pristine, just as you would have bought it way back then. The album was first issued in 1959 on a Maroon 'script' label into 1960, closely followed in early 1960 with a rainbow rim label with the company name in an oval or later brackets. This third issue happened just as Vee-Jay changed printers and is without the 'Made In U.S.A.' text on the front. A magnificent copy of this selection of classic recordings LP1007)
