THE QUINTET Jazz At Massey Hall (1983 US issue of the 1956 6-track mono LP, originally recorded live at Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada in May 15, 1953, with the legendary Quintet comprised of Charlie Parker ("Charlie Chan"), Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Charlie Mingus & Max Roach. Often dubbed 'the greatest jazz concert ever', the survival of the music is owed to Mingus, who taped the concert and issued it on his Debut label. The sleeve is in its opened shrinkwrap and the vinyl is near mint OJC-044)
