P.I.L. Second Edition (2011 issue UK 12-track digitally remastered CD album - Rising from the ashes of the Sex Pistols in 1978, Public Image Limited were by definition one of the pioneers of post-punk groups. With John Lydon's vocals complemented by ex-Clash guitarist Keith Levene, drummer Jim Walker and Jah Wobble on bass, the group created a more dub orientated style and their innovative music earned them 5 UK Top 20 Singles and 5 UK Top 20 Albums in a period stretching over three decades. Following on from the 2010 reissues of 'Metal Box' and 'Plastic Box', PiL's 'Second Edition' [a repackage of the original Metal Box] has now received the full remastering treatment. Completing the PiL set, 'Second Edition' contains all the remasters from the 'Metal Box' project, housed neatly in a single CD, bringing this legendary piece of PiL catalogue bang up to date)
