COUNT BASIE The Great Count (Fantastic 1957 UK 20-page tour programme for his first ever British Tour in November of that year. The condition of this over fifty year old paper item is phenomenal with just a little corner scuffing to show for a long and distinguished life. As if this wasn't enough, this incredible item has been AUTOGRAPHED not only by The Atomic Mr Basie [twice], but also by several distinguished members of the Basie Orchestra at the time including JOE WILLIAMS, CHARLIE FOWLKES, HENRY COKER, THAD JONES, EDDIE JONES, FRANK WESS & SONNY PAYNE [also twice]. In addition to this, there are also two newspaper clippings from the Bournemouth Daily Echo of Wednesday November 20th 1957 giving both a review of the gig & a nice picture of Count Basie meeting local bandleader Syd Fay - An incredible item in near pristine condition from the first British tour of the Count Basie Orchestra!)
