IGGY & THE STOOGES Raw Power (2010 Japanese 'Legacy Edition' 19-track 2-CD album set - first released on Columbia Records in 1973, the savagely bombastic 'Raw Power' by Iggy & The Stooges is perhaps the first record that could truly be called punk. Produced by Iggy Pop and mixed by David Bowie, it was the confluence of The Stooges' ages, hormones, creativity, ability, experience, tastes, lack of supervision, contempt for authority, and ambition that has made 'Raw Power' one of the most influential albums of all time. This 2010 edition of the iconic album now comes expanded with the bonus 11-track 'Georgia Peaches' Disc including 9 tracks recorded live at Atlanta's notorious rock club 'Richards' in October 1973, plus never-before-heard studio outtakes: 'Doojiman' [from the Raw Power 1972 sessions] and 'Head On' [taken from a CBS Studio rehearsal]. Presented in a deluxe fold-out digipak sleeve + obi strip, complete with a 28-page booklet containing new liner notes by noted Stooge historian Brian J. Bowe and Kris Needs, never-before-seen photos and personal notes from Iggy, guitarist James Williamson and drummer Scott Asheton, plus additional Japanese language booklet)
