CHARLIE PARKER All Star Sextet (Early 1960's Japanese Roulette label 12-track vinyl LP - a fantastic collection of tracks from the ultimate sextet, truly earning the title All Star, featuring the talents of Miles Davis, J.J. Johnson, Max Roach, Duke Jordan and Tommy Potter alongside the Birdman. The vinyl of this issue is in superb condition and is presented in a fully silk laminated, non-scalloped flip-back picture sleeve with pinched-spine. Both sleeve and vinyl are in fantastic condition, but the true appeal of this edition is, that it has remained complete with original Japanese insert AND obi-strip. The insert appears to have a token cut from it, but is in otherwise superb condition, whilst the obi-strip is truly is immaculate and a stunning example of early 60's designs - minimalistic; few colours, without images. It really is rare to find a Japanese item of this age with an obi-strip, let alone in such condition - a wonderful item! RET-5021)
