STAN GETZ/SHELLY MANNE/ZOOT SIMS Live 1956 & 1957 (1995 UK 19-track CD album - a wonderful compilation album featuring a selection of tracks from some of jazz's greatest acts. Track 1-7 are perfromed at the Red Hill Inn, New Jersey in 1957 by the Stan Getz Quartet; tracks 8-12 are performed by the Shelly Manne Quintet, recorded on Basin Street, New York in 1956. Stan Getz returns for tracks 13-15, recorded, again, on Basin Street, New York in 1956. The album concludes with the ZootSims Quartet playing the Red Hill Inn, New Jersey in 1956.
