Formed in 1967 around teenage guitar prodigy Randy California, keyboardist Jay Ferguson and jazz veteran and bald-headed drummer Ed Cassidy, Spirit hit with the glorious single 'I Got a Line on You' [reaching #25 on the US charts], one of the most recognisable guitar riffs in rock.
