The Electric Circus was Manchester's primo punk venue, but fire regulations eventually forced its closure - hundreds turned out to see their favourite bands play the venue for the last time: on the bill were Buzzcocks, The Fall, John Cooper Clarke, The Drones, Steel Pulse and, under their original name of Warsaw, JOY DIVISION! Virgin Records taped the weekend, and the subsequent 10" EP, 'Short Circuit Live At The Electric Circus', marked both Joy Division and The Fall's vinyl debuts! Size: Large)
