MCCOY TYNER TRIO Inception (1968 UK stereo issue of the 1962 6-track vinyl LP, McCoy's first album as a leader, with words on the inner sleeve from John Coltrane by way of an introduction to the pianist's unique style of playing. Four Tyner originals and two standards are featured, and the quality of musicianship is astonishing, making this a highly recommended record for contemporary jazz fans. The gatefold picture sleeve reproduces the original album artwork but is nowhere near as sturdy, so displays a little shelfwear with the vinyl remaining in excellent condition, showing little sign of play IMPL8043)
