CHARLIE PARKER The Complete Charlie Parker On Savoy Years (1993 Japanese only limited edition 8-CD album box set featuring a total of 225 recordings made for Savoy between 1944 and '49. Each gold disc is housed in a jewel case with colour picture sleeve and presented in an embossed textured card slipcase with numbered illustrated 60-page booklet and wraparound obi-strip. This superb set also includes 10" x 14" replicas of handwritten sheet music for'Hear My Plea', the poster for the September 1953 Carnegie Hall concert [with Stan Kenton, Billie Holiday, Dizzy Gillespie and Bud Powell] and a publishing contract between 'Bird' and Savoy!
