MILES DAVIS ALL-STARS [featuring JOHN COLTRANE] Broadcast Sessions 1958-59 (2008 UK 10-track CD album - Spanning the period from May 1958 - January 1959, these tracks were recorded at 4 separate 'live' performances at venues in and around New York: 3 for the 'Bandstand' programme on the Mutual Radio Network at Birdland, The Spotlight and Café Bohemia, and one for Art Ford's 'Jazz Party' TV show in Newark. The recordings include some of the radio announcer's introductions, underpinningthe atmosphere of the shows, which give a marvellous snapshot of some of the genre's greatest exponents at work.)
