THE ANIMATED EGG The Animated Egg (2004 German 10-track CD album, originally released in 1967 - a classic example of 'exploito psych' featuring tripped-out instrumentals [played by session musicians, including the man behind the entire project, Jerry Cole] bashed out in next to no time & flogged to 'the kids' as the 'next happenin' thing [man]' - the recordings were actually outtakes from sessions released as The Id [other tracks from Cole-related sessions were released as Stone Canyon Band & T. Swift & The Electric Bag], but despite the convoluted pseudonyms & session muso shenanigans, this is a great collection, worthy of any head's attention!)
