ROBERT GORDON & CHRIS SPEDDING It's Now Or Never (2007 UK 15-track vinyl LP - For this adult-sized dose of wild rhythm, Robert & Chris have gone directly to ground zero and cherry-picked their favourite Elvis Presley tunes, but to shake thingsup, they are backed up by no less than Elvis' mighty Jordanaires; from rippers like 'Lawdy Miss Clawdy' and 'My Baby Left Me' through a stirring reading of 'Peace In the Valley,' 'It's Now Or Never' mines the depths of Elvis' oeuvre without thesmack of ironic revisionism that has been the hallmark of lesser talents. The sleeve shows very little wear, the inner has a little light creasing, the vinyl appears barely played RLP10915)
