VARIOUS No New York (2005 Japanese exclusive limited edition 16-track CD album; released in 1978, this groundbreaking album produced by Brian Eno sought to represent the best of New York's 'No Wave' scene - as the initial energy of punk dissipated, many musicians spiralled off into previously uncharted territory, utilising jazz and avant-garde influences, often creating a maelstrom of sound, with little emphasis on orthodox song structure or melody! Including contributions from The Contortions, Lydia Lunch, Mars & DNA, presented in mini LP-style card sleeve - sealed & stickered!)
