MILES DAVIS & HIS TUBA BAND Pre-Birth Of The Cool (1974 Italian 9-track LP featuring historic tracks recorded in 1948, picture sleeve with text in Italian. Miles' nonet recorded a dozen influential performances during 1948-50 but only actuallyappeared in public for one gig: a two-week stint in 1948 as the intermission band at the Royal Roost for Count Basie's Orchestra. This September 4th 1948 set features nine performances taken from radio broadcasts & are near-classic. The covershows only a little faint corner wear at the opening & is still in the original open shrink, whilst the vinyl grades VG+ with merely a few light paper scuffs not affecting play & little sign of turntable use BLJ8003)
