One - Set of 6 Test Pressings

U2 One (Rare set of six UK black vinyl 7" test pressings for the 1992 single release; these records were cut to check the sound quality of the pressing, long before the commercial run was undertaken. Each record has a different matrix number, starting with A1/B1 and rising numerically to A6/B6. The label area of each disc has a small hand-annotated sticker detailing which matrix number the pressing was from and each plain white sleeve has been affixed with the studio engineer's hand-written library tag. In addition there is a seventh record, a finished copy of the actual release bearing matrices A1/B4, along with the engineer's library tag fixed to the picture sleeve - a stunning archive set and quite simply unrepeatable!
