SYD BARRETT The Madcap Laughs (Rare 1970 UK first issue 13-track vinyl LP on the Harvest label with 'The Gramophone Co., Ltd' text and without the EMI logo. Syd's debut solo album finally appeared two years after leaving Pink Floyd, with Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters producing. This is a brilliant but brittle album, with every strum of the electric guitar seeming to take its toll on Barrett's increasingly frayed nerve strings, housed in a front laminated gatefold picture sleeve with adull blue-green Harvest logo in lower left corner on the front. The cover shows some light general wear around the edges with a small nick on the opening edge, a little laminate creasing and some wear to the spine, otherwise bright print and no edge scuffing. The labels are clean but have a few spindle marks to show it has been played, with the vinyl graded Very Good, with only a few light hairlines on both sides, but nothing to greatly trouble playback. A great copy of this psych masterpiece SHVL765)
