ROLLING STONES Autographed Fan Scrapbook (What we have here is a customised 14" x 10" sketchpad from 1964, lovingly put together by a keen fan of the era. Pasted to the very first page is a piece of folded white notepaper measuring 8.5" x 5.5"with a stunning set of unfaded Stones autographs. Obtained from its one previous owner, who was a member of the London based fan club, here we have the period signatures of Keith Richards in red ballpoint pen, Bill Wyman& Charlie Watts in blue biro, a rare signing by Brian Jones in blue, & what could be an early experimental signature by Jagger in dark blue, or from the fan club's secretary. Much like other Stones autographed items from '64 we have had, this is not the first time Jagger's signature has been thrown into question. Perhaps being the most popular & busy member of the group at the time meant he just couldn't get to every photo that was due, his signing here is the only one without kisses. The rest of the book boasts well over thirty pages of pasted newspaper & magazine cuttings, all relating to the promotion of the Stones' debut album. Many rare photos have been collected with some annotations & there are even a couple of publicity photos from the fanclub. The historic tape used has long since come loose for the most part & over half of the pages are no longer intact & there is no damage to any of these wonderful cut outs. A stunning original fan item for the Stones collector - these early set of signatures are ripe for framing!)
