VARIOUS Catch This Beat (1980 UK 16-track vinyl LP, an absolute musical scorcher of a compilation plundered from the Island / B&C vaults, bringing you some of the Rocksteady heavyweights between 1966-68, a glimpse into the pre-'Skinhead' soundwhich slowed down the beat post-Ska and added a dollop of soul sauce. From Slim Smith's sublime The New Boss through to Roy Shirley's unmistakable vocals on I'm A Winner, finishing with The Melodians' Last Train To Expo '67, this is a delightthat will save you not only a packet but a heck of a lot of time trying to track these gems down! Both the fully laminated sleeve and vinyl are in near 'as new' condition IRSP7)
