THE SMOKE The Smoke (2009 German limited edition 13-track stereo LP pressed on 160gram VINYL, originally released on Sidewalk in 1968, a superb yet obscure psychedelic pop album, masterminded by Michael Lloyd [ex-West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band] and Kim Fowley, featuring beautifully ornate, layered arrangements, in the post-'Pet Sounds' mold of Sagittarius or The Millennium. Lloyd sang, played keyboards, guitar and bass and constructed the intricate horn and string arrangements, while Stan Ayeroff and Steve Baim provided guitar and drums. A forgotten classic, very much a product of the late 60s LA studio scene! Glossy picture sleeve)
