HAWKWIND Minneapolis 4th October (2009 issue UK 15-track 2-CD
album set - Although going through a number of line-up changes over
the last forty years, the band have managed not only to keep the title
of 'People's Band' but are still led by founder and guitarist Dave Brock
and continue to play concerts and release regular studio albums. In
keeping with their stance as a 'People's Band', Hawkwind have often
released 'Official Bootleg' CDs. In keeping with the bands forward
looking attitude on official bootlegs, this release comes from the bands
vaults and comes from 1989 when the band were celebrating their
twentieth anniversary. This album was recorded in Minneapolis on the
4th of October 1989 when the line up of the band at this time featured
Dave Brock, Harvey Bainbridge, Richard Chadwick and Alan Davey;
and includes live versions of 'Magnu', 'Hassan I Sahba', 'Wind Of
Change', 'Brainbox', 'Damnation Alley' & 'Ejection')
