VARIOUS-REGGAE & SKA Blue Beat Special (1968 UK first press 10-track LP compilation on the rough textured light blue Coxsone Records labels, feturing a fantastic line up including Jackie Mittoo, Soul Vendors, Alton Ellis as well as more obscure artists such as The Termites & Keith & Ken, front laminated picture sleeve with vintage '14'6' price sticker attached. The sleeve grades a very pleasing VG+ with some light laminate creasing or ring wear. There are a couple of small annotation ticks by the tracklist [every track is a thumbs up if you ask us!] & there is a name & date penned to a back corner, unbotrusive to the print. The heavyweight vinyl is in Excellent condition. Being a one previous owner copy [the owner told us he played the record only a few times to record to cassette] there are just the lightest few signs of play, fantastic for a ska record of this vintage as most would have been wrecked by being taken to parties for a bit of moonstomping. The sleeve still has the vintage price sticker attatched and shows only light wear to the front; the reverse top flipback has become torn in three places withthe extreme 3" now missing, the other sections have been re-glued, although there is still some discolouration from the previous tape repair, whilst the text is all legible and the rest of the sleeve is free from seam splits.
