The follow up to the brilliiant Heaven & Hell and second & last album featuring the late greatRonnie James Dio until his return to the band for '92's Dehumanizer, produced by the hard rock go-to man at the controls Martin Birch, and including the epic Sign of the Southern Cross. Heavy card pasted single-pocket picture sleeve featuringstriking artwork from Greg Hildebrandt's 1971 Dream 1: Crucifiers. The sleeve on this copy is graded VG+/EX- as there has been [an extremely neatlly applied] small section of tape-reinforcement over a small split just to the top edge towards the opending edge which also covers a tiny nick of surface paper loss on the back, this is minimal however and as mentioned the split has been very well re-secured, seam splits being quite common for this type of heavy card pocket sleeve design, the extreme corners have the tiniest of rubbing if we're getting technical but other than that the cover is in great condition, strong in shape with glorious bright, vivid colours, pasted back panel full intact and near perfect spine, still nice on the eyes and in the hands. BLACK SABBATH Mob Rules (2010 issue UK Deluxe Edition 25-track digitally remastered 2-CD album set - Written mostly on the 'Heaven And Hell' Tour and with Martin Birch again at the producer's helm, 'Mob Rules', like its predecessor, contains someof the tastiest, hook-laden, riff-heavy Metal that Sabs fans, both old [and now many new], could desire. Album opener, 'Turn Up The Night', like the title track, is a relentless charge of foot pounding bass, trilling guitar lines and a full-throated command that would become a classic Sabbath rallying call. Shifting the mood into darker and far more broody territory were tracks such as 'Voodoo' and 'The Sign Of The Southern Cross' whilst Iommi's haunting instrumental, 'E5150' is an echo chamber of unsettling subhuman cries that could accompany perfectly any reading of Lovecraftian verse. Bringing the album to a close, both 'Falling Of The Edge Of The World' and 'Over And Over' continue the album's powerful charge-to-chug pace.
