A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

FLEETWOOD MAC Mr Wonderful (1968 UK first issue 12-track mono LP on Blue Horizon, housed in a front laminated internal flipback gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve has a little corner scuffing and otherwise shows only light signs of shelfwear. The labels are clean with minimal signs of spindle wear. The poly lined inner has left a light impression to the play surface, despite this the vinyl appears barely played. A nice, if not mint, example of this rare first press)

Tracklisting: 1. Stop Messin' Round 2. Coming Home 3. Rollin' Man 4. Dust My Broom 5. Love That Burns 6. Doctor Brown 7. Need Your Love Tonight 8. If You Be My Baby 9. Evenin' Boogie 10. Lazy Poker Blues 11. I've Lost My Baby 12. Trying So Hard To Forget
THE DAMNED Stretcher Case Baby (Super Rare 1977 UK promotional only vinyl 7" which was never available for retail sale, instead given away at a series of London gigs and through an NME competition to celebrate the bands first anniversary, alsoincluding Sick Of Being Sick. This is a legendary item from the beginning of the punk era, with superb picture sleeve and matching skull labels. This one owner copy is in stunning condition. The sleeve shows only minor marks in the top right corner and vinyl is in Near Mint condition DAMMED-1)
**See 'More Info' for further notes on this item**

Tracklisting: 1. Stretcher Case Baby 2. Sick Of Being Sick This legendary item was given away to punters who attended a series of shows at the original Marquee Club in Soho, London in July 1977 to celebrate the bands first anniversary. Some were also given out via the NME as a competition prize. The picture sleeve depicts an image which appears to be a skull at first glance but when looked at more closely is an image of a lady looking in the mirror and her reflection. On the reverse are two black & white photos of the band in full manic live on stage action with the 'Stiff Records' logo and the wording 'ISSUED FREE AS FIRST ANNIVERSARY GIFT' underneath. This sleeve shows minimum storage wear with only the faintest signs of edge scuffing. The labels have two more skull images. One has the band members heads on and the other has the tracklisting details followed by the wording: "EASILY DESTRUCTIBLE STEREO NOT FOR SALE Special snob collectors artifact of no historical/cultural value. Play it today. Throw it away. Why sell 'em when you can give 'em away." In the run-out grooves there is the following etching/matrix numbers: "DAMMED-1-1 I SAID YOU BETTER HAVE THE ALBUM I SAID YOU BETTER HAVE THE ALBUM DAMMED-2-1 ONE YEAR OLDS" The vinyl too remains in near 'as new' condition with few signs of play. Even more remarkable considering the method of distribution. One of the 'Must Have' items from the golden period of the Punk Scene !
MARVIN GAYE Collected (2019 UK/EU limited edition 28-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl, a deluxe edition released in celebration of what would have been Marvin Gaye's 80th birthday on April 2nd, 2019. Gatefold picture sleeve with 4-page booklet & gold hype sticker.Essential)

Tracklisting: The world lost one of the most important soul singers ever to grace the world on 1st April 1984. He has left behind a series of fantastic hits plus a handful of tracks which deserve the title of masterpiece, all Collected on this album. Motown Records released the first Marvin Gaye record in 1961 "(I'm Afraid) The Masquerade Is Over", a single intended for (radio) promotion from the singer's debut album. This was followed up by the officially released "Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide" a week later. Gaye scored his first real hit with "Stubborn Kind of Fellow" in 1962, which he had co-written himself, joking about his alleged stubbornness. He found his own unique style with the single released at the end of the year: "Hitch Hike". The foundations were now laid for an enormous series of chart successes: "Pride And Joy", "Can I Get A Witness", "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" and "Ain't That Peculiar" are all Motown classics from 1963-1965 which are still being regularly played today after all these years. The duets he recorded with Kim Weston ("It Takes Two") and especially Tammi Terrell were certainly at least as good. He scored his biggest ever hit with "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" in 1968. "What's Going On" from the same-titled album became a number 1 hit in the USA and the album was received as a masterpiece everywhere and is now regarded as one of the most important records in pop history. In 1973, the artistically and commercially very successful, "Let's Get It On" album was mainly a musical ode to Marvin's love for his new muse Janis Hunter. The success enjoyed by "Sexual Healing" and the album which was released at the end of 1982, traveled with him. Suddenly Gaye, who had started to increasingly be forgotten about, was a celebrated star again and this was certainly a position the singer reveled in. SIDE ONE 1. (I'M AFRAID) THE MASQUERADE IS OVER 2. LET YOUR CONSCIENCE BE YOUR GUIDE 3. HITCH HIKE 4. PRIDE AND JOY 5. CAN I GET A WITNESS 6. ONCE UPON A TIME (WITH MARY WELLS) 7. STUBBORN KIND OF FELLOW 8.
