LIGHTNIN' HOPKINS Fast Life Woman (Rare 1962 US 10-track
vinyl LP on the black and silver Verve label, heavyweight pasted
picture sleeve [with EMI import sticker] and detailed liner notes
on the reverse. Authentic gritty blues from one of the masters of
the genre, mostly just Sam Hopkins and his guitar, this is the
blues as social commentary with songs detailing the harder side
of life for the average black American pre-civil rights;
Penitentiary Blues, Jailhouse Blues, Tim Moore's Farm, Fast Life
Woman and more. The sleeve is in superb condition with just a
couple of corner bumps to show for its 58 years! Lovely bright
colours and no seam splits as is often the case with US releases

Texan Blues 1962 US 12-track deep groove mono LP on a red
Time label, recorded at Lightnin's peak in 1950-51, heavy
duty pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve on this copy sure nuff
has the Blues but has lived to tell its story, albeit with some
discolouring on the rear, a little edge scuffing & a tape
reinforced split. It has served its purpose of protecting the
record extremely well, & retains rich, vivid colour & legible
printincluding along the spine. The vinyl is super clean with
just a few faint paper scuffs to indicate play. Recommended)
