LARRY YOUNG Contrasts (1967 German 'Division Of Liberty' label
6-track stereo LP on Blue Note, with 'Van Gelder' stampers in the
run-offs, housed in a US manufactured pasted picture sleeve. The
cover shows very little of its years [light sticker residue mark top left
which reads 'SDI'] - there is a needle drop visible on the 'Major Affair'
track causing a few clicks on rotation, but otherwise the vinyl appears
near 'as new' BST84266K)

LARRY YOUNG Into Something (Very rare 1964 US 5-track mono
deep groove LP on the New York Blue Note label with VAN GELDER &
'ear' etched into the runout grooves on both sides, pasted picture
sleeve. Young's debut for Blue Note is a hard-bop delight featuring
Grant Green, Elvin Jones and Sam Rivers on tenor saxophone. The
sleeve shows some edge scuffing, discolouration to the reverse and a
previous owners name written discreetly in the reverse top left hand
corner, however, it is free of rips/tears and al text is clearly legible.
The vinyl shows some faint hairlines and scuffs [nothing excessive]
and grades a strong VG - play testing reveals no great loss in fidelity.
With mint copies regualrly topping the £300 mark, here's your chance
to pick up a more than acceptable play copy at an advantageous price
