JOHN LEE HOOKER Burning Hell (Very Rare 1964 UK first press 12-track mono LP on the rough textured blue & silver 'reel & mic' label, recorded on April 20, 1959. This Country Blues classic features Hooker putting his distinct stamp on songs associated with Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf [Smokestack Lightnin'], Lightnin' Hopkins & Big Bill Broonzy, pasted laminate picture sleeve. This is a Philips pressing with 1L/2L machine stamped in the run-outs along with the '620' pressing plant number. The heavyweight sleeve appears Near Mint with nice clean panels & no writing or splits. The vinyl is Excellent & has been professionally cleaned & play tested - the sound stage is exceptional. Classic boogie blues from the master, includes six songs originally recorded for De Luxe Records in 1953 along with six numbers recorded in 1961 especially for this release.
