14-track CD album - Jackie Lomax is considered to be one of the best
white Soul / Rhythm & Blues voices / songwriters to have emerged
from the 60's and 70's. Added to that he was thevery first artist signed
to The Beatles then new label Apple Records and his debut single was
'Sour Milk Sea' written by one George Harrison. Following on from the
much publicised demise of Apple Records he joined bands Heavy Jelly,
Badger andBalls as well as releasing in the 70's two much acclaimed
solo albums. In 2001, he released his first solo album for over 20
years 'The Ballard Of Liverpool Slim' virtually picking up where he had
left off-writing and playing R&B, Blues and Soul. This edition comes
expanded with 2 Bonus Recordings including 'Friend-A-Mine'

JACKIE LOMAX Is This What You Want (2010 UK Stereo issue limited
edition 18-track CD album digitally remastered by a dedicated
engineering team at the world famous Abbey Road studios - Jackie
Lomax was an old friend from Liverpool with an extremely soulful
voice. One of the first acts signed to the label, his debut single was the
George Harrison composition 'Sour Milk Sea'. Few artists can boast
three Beatles on his album but Jackie could as John was the only
absentee. Nicky Hopkins and Eric Clapton also graced the album with
the material recorded in the UK with noted session musicians Hal
Blaine, Joe Osborn and Larry Knechtel appearing on those tracks
recorded in the US. This 2010 edition comes expanded with 6
Bonus Recordings including the original mono single mix of 'New
Day', the previously released single coupling of 'Thumbin' A Ride' and
'How The Web Was Woven', three previously unreleased tracks
recorded and mixed in 1969: 'You've Got To Be Strong', 'Can You
Hear Me' & 'You Make It With Me'. Presented in a digipak picture
