JACKIE LOMAX Is This What You Want (2010 UK Stereo issue limited
edition 18-track CD album digitally remastered by a dedicated
engineering team at the world famous Abbey Road studios - Jackie
Lomax was an old friend from Liverpool with an extremely soulful
voice. One of the first acts signed to the label, his debut single was the
George Harrison composition 'Sour Milk Sea'. Few artists can boast
three Beatles on his album but Jackie could as John was the only
absentee. Nicky Hopkins and Eric Clapton also graced the album with
the material recorded in the UK with noted session musicians Hal
Blaine, Joe Osborn and Larry Knechtel appearing on those tracks
recorded in the US. This 2010 edition comes expanded with 6
Bonus Recordings including the original mono single mix of 'New
Day', the previously released single coupling of 'Thumbin' A Ride' and
'How The Web Was Woven', three previously unreleased tracks
recorded and mixed in 1969: 'You've Got To Be Strong', 'Can You
Hear Me' & 'You Make It With Me'. Presented in a digipak picture
sleeve complete with new notes and photographs)
