Circa 1980 US-only limited edition EIGHT LP set,
featuring mostly unreleased studio recordings (one LP of live
transcripts) spanning the long history of the orchestra. Obtained
fromalife-long Ellington fan & completist, this was a tremendous
undertaking to compile. The eight volumes are divided into the
following parts; The Undocumented Ellington, The Studio
Recordings & The Studio Series. Each part is housed in its
respective picture sleeve [no. 6 & 8 with insert] or blank
'registered_' sleeve with extensive notes on the back. The covers
are Excellent with only a few tiny corner creases from storage &
each vinyl disc still looks barely played. Ideal to pick up in one
swoop!)
