BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN The Grapes of Wrath Volume 1 & 2 (Rare pair of 1995 Japanese books written by the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize for Literature winner John Steinbeck in 1939. Set during the Great US Depression, the novels focuses on a poor family of sharecroppers, the Joads who were driven from their home by drought, economic hardship and changes in the agriculture industry. Bruce Springsteen recorded his song 'The Ghost Of Tom Joad' on the album of the same name, the lyric are set incontemporary times but the third verse quotes Tom's famous 'Where there's a fight 'gainst the blood and hatred in the air Look for me Mom I'll be there'.
