BILL EVANS Everybody Digs Bill Evans (1960 UK mono issue of the
classic 1959 10-track LP on the white 'Reels & Mic' logo label with
Royalty stamps attached, also featuring Sam Jones on Bass & Philly
Joe Jones on Drums, US printed pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve
shows just light shelfwear & a bit of edge scuffing but, unusually for
this type of sleeve, the spine remains readable and all text is clear.
The vinyl is spectacular and remains in near 'as new' condition apart
from one small historic landing error, which has left a scratch that will
produce an audible click in the first couple of seconds of the music on
Side Two. A far above average copy of this classic album at an
advantageous price RLP12-291)

BILL EVANS & JIM HALL Undercurrent (1963 Japanese first
issue of the classic 6-track stereo LP on the 'bendy sax
player' label, that sees the almost telepathic relationship
between the guitar of Jim Hall & the Piano of Bill Evans take
root andgrow, unique fully silk laminated scalloped flipback
picture sleeve variant with the classic Toni Frissell picture
from 1947 as the cover art & Japanese sleeve notes on the
reverse. Dating from February 1963, the flimsy sleeve shows
very little of the stresses that most have succumbed to after
fifty years, with just a little light age yellowing noticable at
the edges of the mostly white back & some minor laminate
creasings in places on the front. The pinched spine is still
clearly readable & shows no wear to speak of. The vinyl is
staggering & remains in excellent condition, showing little
sign of play at all. An wonderful copy of this hard to find first
