ARTHUR GUNTER Blues After Hours (Very rare 1971 UK 14-track mono vinyl LP on the 'white' Blue Horizon label, matt picture sleeve. Wonderful collection of blues and R&B from the criminally overlooked bluesman. Signed to Excello in 1952, Gunterpenned 'Baby Let's Play House', made famous by Elvis, Buddy Holly and many more, he was never able to repeat the 'hit' formula, was quickly dropped by Excello and these recordings were largely forgotten until Mike Vernon of Blue Horizon issuedthem. The sleeve on this copy shows some light edge scuffing in places and a little ringwear, the vinyl is in mint condition, no spindle wear and no marks of any kind - superb!
