ART PEPPER Meets The Rhythm Section (Extremely rare classic 1957
9-track mono vinyl LP on a 'deep groove' label, where Art 'borrows'
the incredible rhythm section of Miles Davis - At the time, even Miles
said; 'I have the best rhythm section in the world' - Red Garland on
piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums,
textured pasted picture sleeve with blue text title & red box on the
back & tape reinforced spine. The sleeve exhibits the sort of shelfwear
that you would expect on a fifty five year old sleeve of this design,
with some ringwear to the front, a couple of small areas of paper loss,
some scuffing to the edges & a little discolouration to the back slick.
Not perfect, granted, but still retaining that vintage feel and intact. The
vinyl is wonderful and would be graded VG+/EX- with just a little
surface noise audible at times, playing through without fault & free of
all but the lightest of surface scuffs. All in all a wonderful copy of this
very hard to find US original at a very advantageous price C3532)
