PAUL TORTELIER Shostakovich: Cello Concerto No.1 (1973 UK HMV colour 'Nipper' stamp label stereo vinyl LP, performed by Paul Tortelier with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paavo Berglund. At first glance this disc appears somewhat unassuming, but this TAS listed recording is widely held to be best recording yet made of the Shostakovich's 1st cello concerto and is a must have performance for serious audiophile classical fans. The sleeve has a small sticker tear to the front, whilst the vinyl looks barely played ASD2924)
