17-11-70 - 180gm Test Pressing

ELTON JOHN 17-11-70 (Test Pressing for the 2016 UK/EU audiophile issue of the 1971 6-track LP on 180gram Vinyl, remastered from the original analogue tapes by Bob Ludwig, with plain white labels & matrix detail etched by hand inthe run-outs. This was Sir Elton's first live album featuring a collection of tracks recorded at A&R Recording Studios, New York on 17th November 1970 for a radio broadcast on WABC-FM [later WPLJ]. The vinyl is Near Mint & comes housed in a plain die-cut card sleeve with the artist & album title annotation & engineer log dates. Interestingly, this very early test pressing has been annotated 'Not Approved'. Only a small select handful of these would have been produced, purely to test the sonics & never to be sold to the general public this way. A superb ex-industry find)
