DEEP PURPLE Phoenix Rising (2011 German Limited Edition 8-track 2-LP set pressed on 140 Gram Vinyl. A Hard Rock band that sees Ian Gillan and Roger Glover jump ship-followed soon after by Ritchie Blackmore-would ordinarily sink. But not Deep Purple, who welcomed bassist Glenn Hughes, dazzling guitarist Tommy Bolin and the prodigious pipes of David Coverdale. These live recordings were taped in Long Beach, CA and in Japan. Includes a bonus DVD featuring 30 minutes of concert footage and 'Gettin' Tighter' 80 Minute Music Documentary. Housed in a gatefold picture sleeve, factory sealed in the hype-stickered shrink)
