LOUIS ARMSTRONG & DUKE ELLINGTON Recording Together For The First Time (Long deleted 2008 US exclusive limited edition 11-track FOUR SINGLE-SIDED LPs pressed on 45-RPM SVP-II 200gram Clarity Clear Virgin Vinyl - Recorded across two days [3rd & 4th April 1961] in New York, these sessions saw Armstrong & Ellington joined by Barney Bigard [clarinet], Trummy Young [trombone], Mort Herbert [bass] and Danny Barcelona [drums] and now get the ultimate audiophile treatment: Clarity Vinyl represents the ultimate in vinyl formulations because it is comprised of over 90% of the highest quality co-polymer available - a key component in vinyl pellets used for manufacturing vinyl records. Further, Clarity Vinyl has no carbon black additive, common in vinyl formulas for LPs. Carbon Black contains trace metals that become magnetized and cause electrical distortions in cartridges during playback that smear the sound. By taking out the Carbon Black, Classic Records are able to dramatically reduce the distortion and thus bring more clarity to the playback process, providing a more realistic musical experience to the listener and LP enthusiast. All four discs are UNPLAYED superbly housed within the 13" x 13" x 1" two-piece box which comes with the 'Classic Records' card belly band and remains sealed within its custom-stickered shrinkwrap)
