SAINT-SAËNS Carnaval Des Animaux (In Demand 1988 Dutch first edition stereo LP in Philips Digital Classics series, on the silver label with 1Y/1/2Y/1 matrix stampers. Features the twenty-four minute "Le Carnaval Des Animasux" Grande FantaisieZoölogique in its full glory on side one, with standout pianists Martha Argerich & Nelson Freire, violinists Gidon Kremer & Isabelle Van Keulen, the incredible Mischa Maisky on cello & Tabea Zimmermann on viola. Also features the works of Alan Ridout & Frieder Meschwitz. Comes housedin a glossy picture sleeve with gold embossed lettering, double-sided libretto sheet & the original dated inner. The sleeve is Near Mint with the lightest spot of shelf wear & the vinyl too is Near Mint with few signs of play. Now a highly prized pressing in Classical circles)
