DUKE ELLINGTON Meets Coleman Hawkins (Limited Edition 80s German Direct Metal Mastered issue of the 1962 8-track stereo LP engineered by Rudy Van Gelder, where an Ellington septet provide a rich carpet of sound for the full tone of Coleman's tenor sax, giving 'The Bean' [as Hawkins was also called] all the room in the world for his lengthy improvisations. The gatefold picture sleeve shows some minor shelf wear scuffing & the vinyl is Excellent with few signs of play AS-26)
