JOHN LEE HOOKER Plays & Sings The Blues (1965 UK 1st issue on the Gold Print Chess label of the 12-track vinyl LP originally released in the US in 1961, front laminated picture sleeve with detailed liner notes by Studs Terkel on the reverse. Superb selection of mainly acoustic blues recorded in the early '50s, the sleeve shows just some light shelfwear and the reverse has some minor discolouration, the flipbacks are secure with no unsightly rips, tears etc. The label displays some spindle wear and there are a couple of visible hairlines but playtesting reveals very little loss in fidelity - only the second copy we've ever had too!
