SKIP JAMES Today! (Late 60s, early 70s US issue of the 1966 12-track stereo LP, on a brown rim Vanguard label. This collection showcases the spooky, mysterious style that Skip developed early last century, his guitar playing perfect, his highhaunting voice making the hair on the back of your neck crawl, whilst his piano playing was unpredictable yet concise. An unusual & original talent, Skip James was one of the best! The picture sleeve [VG] has chipping [& minor splitting] to the paper around the edges, most notable to the front opening, yet all text remains clear including the spine & there is no writing. The vinyl grades Excellent with few signs of play VSD-79219)
