GENE VINCENT Gene Vincent And The Blue Caps (Incredibly rare 1957 first UK issue 12-track mono LP on the Capitol turquoise label, featuring Gene cranking out wild & raw, no nonsense rock n' roll like no one's business, including an occasionalstandout ballad like Unchained Melody, what a record! We have never been able to track down original Gene Vincent albums. This is only our second turquioise label example of this classic album in 30+ years, with the original sleeve, fully laminated with scalloped flipbacks of the era. The laminate is nice & clean & the colours are beautiful & strikingly vivid. The flipbacks are secure & the front panel appears as good as you will ever find it. There is some faint corner scuffing, not unreasonable, with all text clearly legible including along the pinched spine. The laminate has started to naturally peel away at a few edges, mostly just from the back opening, there is also ink mark along the reverse opening. Over sixty years of age & still a beaut, the vinyl displays some light scuffs/hairlines with a hand-written date on both sides of the labels stating 'Dec 1957'. We have professionally cleaned the record and playback reveals some occasional 'pops/clicks' but nothing too excessive T811)
