DOLLAR BRAND Underground In Africa (Sealed Cosmic Afro Jazz 1979 South African-only 4-track LP, opening with the trance-like spiritual odyssey of 'Kalahari' lasting twenty-three minutes, with a killer Fender Bass groove from Lionel Beukes & a trippy 'withhold the night & day' vocal chant from Abdullah Ibrahim, leading the listener on a journey to the promised land. The album was first released in 1974 in a gatefold sleeve. This is the second edition, housed in a unique single pocket sleeve depicting Hargreaves Ntukwana's wonderful African painting both sides, with a '19-3-1979' release date print on the back. What is seriously impressive with this copy is that it remains in MINT condition. This ultimate collector's copy is still factory sealed from new, the vinyl mint & unplayed. A gift from the heavens!
