VIVIAN JACKSON Ram-A-Dam (Impossibly rare 1976 UK 10-track holy grail vinyl LP on the highly collectable Lucky label, his stunning debut album, considered as one of the top ten seminal Roots works, known more widely as Conquering Lion with Jackson credited under the name Yabby You. This album boasts a wealth of Reggae kingpins with piano by Augustus Pablo, Earl Smith on guitar, Tommy McCook on trumpet & flute, Leroy Wallace on drums and Aston Barrett on organ and Bass, all mixed by King Tubby to give a warm dubby feel,front laminated picture sleeve. This is a one previous owner copy which has spent 40 years carefully nestled in an extensive Reggae collection.

The Sleeve - Excellent

The Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. sleeve shows light ringwear to the reverse and has the previous owners name discreetly written in the picture insert; the edges show a little scuffing and the spine is crisp & all the text clear, the front shows minimal creasing.

The vinyl - Excellent

The B side label has the previous owners name written neatly on it and shows no paper loss or real discolouration. The vinyl has a few faint hairlines, but nothing which points to the excessive play which often bedevils Reggae classics and playback confirms a wonderful dynamic sound with bass deep enough to shake down Babylon and minimal ambient noise leaving it Excellent.

This is a fantastic album which was a pleasure to playtest and is in exceptional condition.
