DEXTER GORDON Dexter Calling (1963 US 'New York USA' label issue of the 1961 7-track stereo LP with 'RVG' & 'ear' marks in the run off areas, complete with Blue Note advert inner, also featuring Kenny Drew on Piano, Paul Chambers on Bass & Philly Joe Jones on Drums, pasted picture sleeve. This was Dexter's second album for Blue Note & the solid rhythm section propels him from his West Coast sensibilities into the more vibrant East Coast vibe. The sleeve has a small pin hole in themiddle of the top, possibly from the time that it was displayed in the shop back in '63, otherwise just a little discolouration is evident to the reverse with the original price of 30/- penned to the top corner. The vinyl has very little sign of play leaving it Excellent with lovely clean labels. A superb copy of this classic! BST84083)
