JIMMY KNEPPER Idol Of The Flies (1982 UK repackaging of the 'Swinging Introduction To Jimmy Knepper' 1957 9-track LP, Jimmy's debut as a leader & a prime example of the cool side of Bop. The performances are played alongside a young Bill Evans[pianist Bob Hammer plays on three non-Evans starring numbers], Gene Roland [trumpet], Gene Quill [alto sax], Teddy Kotick [bass] & Dannie Richmond [drums]. The picture sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl looks barely played AFF89)
