JOHNNY HODGES with LEON THOMAS & OLIVER NELSON Three Shades Of Blues (1970 US first press 10-track stereo LP on a Flying Dutchman label with light blue rim, this was Johnny's final album & a fantastic one at that. A man who possessed one of the richest tones on the saxophone, Hodges passed away shortly after the record was released. Obtained from a life-long Ellington collector & completist, this is a stunning archive copy. The front laminated gatefold picture sleeve is Near Mint &the vinyl is easily Excellent with barely a hint of play FDS-120)
